Staff from our Leeds office put their general knowledge to the test by taking part in a quiz night for breast cancer charity, The Haven. Organised by insolvency trade body, R3, the event raised an impressive total of over £1,400.
Held this week at The Marriott Hotel in Leeds, it boasted an impressive turnout, with more than 180 R3 members and their guests attending, including insolvency practitioners, accountants and lawyers,
Not only does this annual event give the members of R3 a chance to mingle and have some fun, it also enables everyone to raise money for an extremely worthy cause, The Haven, established to support people’s wellbeing with and beyond breast cancer.
The Haven provides a wide range of therapies which help people to deal with the physical and emotional side effects of breast cancer. With centres in Leeds, Hereford and London, the charity’s specialist nurses and experts in nutrition, exercise and emotional support develop tailor-made programmes for each individual as well as offering outreach programmes. The Yorkshire Haven is located in the Gateway West on East Street, Leeds.
